If your baby needs extra care, you can take comfort in knowing that Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas has a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) offering specialized care and advanced technology in an intensive care setting.
Having a baby in the NICU can be a frightening and stressful experience. With sensitivity to families and their needs, the NICU professionals are dedicated to giving you the support you need to get through this difficult time.
The Level III NICU was recently expanded to include 47 beds and features:
- Family-centered modular design
- Family lounge with computers and Internet access, washer and dryer, refrigerator, TVs, couches, vending machine and children's table and chairs for siblings
- Rachel's Room, which provides a quiet place for private reflection or consultations with physicians on the medical staff
Special Care Nursery
The hospital also has 33 beds and all-private rooms, where parents can stay with their baby once they have graduated from the NICU but still need extra care.
