Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent Ability to type, spell, write or print legibly with general knowledge of personal computers. Strong interpersonal communication, documentation, customer service and collection skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 years of hospital clerical, general clerical or Certificate of Achievement in clerical or business related course CHAA (certified health care admissions association) preferred. Hospital or physician office experience helpful
Duties

Obtains correct financial and demographic patient information Presents and explains legal, ethical, and compliant related documents to the patient and/or patient representative. Identifies insurance plans and obtains required information. Follows insurance contract requirements and restrictions guidelines. Collects insurance co-payments, self-pay deposits and patient balances
Complies with departmental polices and procedures. Meets department registration standards. Participates in process improvements. Patient admission procedure performed accurately reflecting a knowledge of JCHAO, HIPPA,CMS and Department of Health and Human Services standards.
Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital is an acute care, full service 369-bed medical center serving Arlington, Texas and the North Texas area. This facility offers a variety of services and specialties, including a 19-bed ICU and 20-bed CCU.
