Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Rotating schedule on 'as-needed' basis (*Primarily day shift).

Associates Degree, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.

1+ year direct RN experience within a hospital setting is preferable.

Must have a working knowledge of the care and management of patients within a hospital setting.

LICENSURES / CERTIFICATIONS

Current RN, State of Texas License is required.

Current BLS is required.

Current ACLS or acquired within 90-days of hire and maintained thereafter is required.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Must possess knowledge of respective clinical area to include all equipment used, infection control, regulatory requirements, universal precautions and all other skills, including pharmacology and IV therapy related to patient care delivery.

Knowledgable and sensitive to patient's rights in the delivery of care.

Communicates in a clear, concise manner appropriate to the development stage of the patient.

Demonstrates exemplary customer service skills.

Shows sensitivity when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.

Exhibits clarity of roles and scope of responsibility, authority, and accountability to ensure departmental committment to service excellence.

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton, located in Denton, Texas, is a comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility, serving people across North Texas and Southern Oklahoma with 255 all-private beds. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations (JCAHO) and has a broad range of services, including Open Heart Surgical Services, The Center For Women, including midwifery and water births, A Comprehensive Cardiac Services Department with Chest Pain Accredited designation, Outpatient Surgical Services, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), 64 slice Computerized Tomography (CT), Bone-Density Screening, Wound Management/Ostomy Center, Hospital-based CareFlite, 28 all-private-bed Emergency Department, Accredited Mammography, Oncology Services, Physical Therapy, Lithotripsy, Sleep Studies and Sports Medicine.
