Chief Nursing Executive

Joan Clark

Chief Nurse Executive

Welcome Nurses!

A letter from Joan Clark, chief nurse executive:

Thank you for visiting the Texas Health Resources nursing Web page. My name is Joan Clark and I am the Senior Vice President for Nursing at Texas Health Resources.

As a nurse myself, I understand what it means to have a passion for helping others and the need to make a difference. Finding the right home for your nursing career is the most important element to fulfill your calling.

You need an environment that is challenging, rewarding and dedicated to the pathways of nursing excellence. It is our hope that you will find your home right here with us.

Delivering excellent care and exceptional experiences to our patients and families is what we do every day. Our nurses work with an evidence-based approach to finding excellent patient care across the continuum of our system.

The nursing environment at Texas Health Resources fosters professional practice supporting our system culture of respect, integrity, compassion, and excellence.  At Texas Health, the chief nurses at the hospital facilities all promote professional growth and development, and we see nursing as the key to improving the health in our communities.

It is an honor to work with such an exceptional nursing staff and fine organization.  We hope will find your home with us.

Sincerely and Respectfully,

Joan Shinkus Clark, M.S.N., R.N., NEA-BC
