Qualifications
Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, a MAGNET facility, has a new position for a Quality Manager (RN). Qualified candidates for this exciting opportunity will possess the following:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field.
Current RN license to practice in the state of Texas.
CHPQ - Quality certification.
Five (5) years experience in healthcare quality.
Ability to interpret external regulatory requirements, utilize quality management databases and apply statistics when necessary.
Project management skills.
Able to interface across all disciplines and the medical staff.
Ability to facilitate RCA's and performance improvement committees. Demonstrated team building experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literate - especially with Microsoft Office.
Conflict resolution experience.
Duties
Full-time: 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday.
DUTIES:
* Manages day to day operations in the department related to Quality Initiatives and Regulatory Compliance.
* Serves as a resource to the Quality Improvement Coordinators, Data Abstractors, Physicians and Hospital staff to meet the organization's needs that includes key strategic initiatives for performance improvement targets.
* Working with the staff, assures the accuracy and timeliness of data abstraction and submission.
* Facilitates assigned committees including Regulatory Readiness Committee.
* Develops and manages project plans to be continually ready for regulatory reviews and assures compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Selects, orients, trains and assigns responsibilities to Quality Improvement Coordinators and data abstractors.
* Maintains confidentiality of all quality and regulatory review activities and information.
