Qualifications Qualifications/Skills:- High School Diploma- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)- Texas Board of Pharmacy Registration- 2 Years in-patient hospital pharmacy experience- Experience with sterile products preparation- General computer skillsPreferred qualifications:- Experience with PYXIS and MEDICS systemsSchedule: PRN; Rotating/variable days and shifts, PRN pool for any and all scheduled shifts
Duties -Uses quality improvement methods to reduce errors. Examples include: * Ensuring all medications dispensed from the pharmacy are double checked. * Procedural pause for high risk or low frequency medications or processes-Suggests ways to improve, and implements improvements.-Takes steps to develop self and learn continuously-Participates in required organizational safety activities as needed-Utilizes time wisely by prioritizing and effiently completing tasks including long term projects. -Maintains security and confidentiality of information systems.-Utilizes pharmacy information system to manage patient data.-Utilizes pharmaceutial wholesaler system to monitor purchasing trends and opportunities-Utilizes Pyxis and CIISafe reports daily as well as periodically for inventory management improvement possibilities and the prevention of diversion.Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen brings the strength of one of the largest health care systems in the Southwest to Allen, Texas and the surrounding area.
