Qualifications

Minimum Education Requirements:
Masters Degree in Social Work

Minimum Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Master's Social Work license in the State of Texas

Minimum Experience Requirements:
1 year Social Work experience required

Preferred Qualifications:
LCSW
1 year Psychiatric social work experience

Duties
1. Works to continuously improve quality of service programs
2. Maintains accurate and complete billing and accounting records
3. Understands and adheres to regulations and to accreditation standards
4. Maintains and enhances knowledge and skill in psychiatric treatment
5. Conducts psychosocial assessments to determine patient's and family's level of functioning, to implement effective treatment, and to plan appropriate discharge disposition.
6. Conducts unstructured individual, family, and group therapy as scheduled or ordered by physician to address goals indentified on patient care plan and by treatment plan
7.  Provides didactice group therapy as scheduled and assigned
8. Adapts treatment to reflect age-specific and development considerations
9. Demonstrates competency with geriatric treatment
10. Demonstrates competency with cognitive behavioral therapy
11. Assists and educates patient and families with identifying appropriate discharge plans
12. Provides information on resources available
13. Collaborates with treatment team and physician to establish and facilitate discharge plan
14. Obtains discharge plan orders as indicated
15. Documents discharge as appropriate for program
16. Perform other duties as assigned
