Relationship-Based CareUnit practice councils comprising of a mixture of staff from each individual unit and department, meet regularly to monitor progress and set direction for the group. Unit practice councils examine how their work is accomplished and how care/services are delivered. Questions include:

  • How are decisions made?
  • How is work allocated or assigned?
  • What is communication like for your department?
  • How is care managed and delivered?
  • How do you and the department staff create a caring environment in your job function?
  • What financial and human resources are required to assure that competencies are maintained?

Relationship-based care is about:

  • Clarity, Competency, Confidence, Collaboration, Communication, Contribution, Commitment, Caring, and Connection

All together, our goal is to provide an exceptional patient and employee experience, and a remarkable environment.
