Needs Assessment Survey of U.S. Combat Warriors and Families in North Texas (Stress)
Description
Many lives have been affected by the military actions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Bosnia, and other foreign combat zones. As military personnel reconnect with their lives and families at home after long separations, unanticipated personal and social problems could arise for a variety of reasons. Our health care, education, and other community organizations may have limited awareness of the needs of families affected by long separations and combat experiences. We need to know about how many families who live or work in North Texas may be facing various unanticipated problems with regaining balance in their lives after long separations in military service and combat experiences. We also need to know whether and where they are getting the services they may need. This is the purpose of this survey.
