The Stroke Program at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is dedicated to providing comprehensive stroke treatment services and educational programs outlining stroke prevention, the warning signs, causes and possible treatment options.
The program combines the use of educational materials, health fairs and the stroke education and support groups to enhance the clinical treatment of stroke as well as provide emotional support to stroke victims and their families.
By stressing prevention, defining possible risks, and highlighting the warning signs, the program works to decrease and prevent the onset of a stroke or brain attack and aid in the physical and emotional recovery of a stroke patient and his or her family once an attack occurs.
The Mabee Rehabilitation Center, which is accredited in stroke by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), provides rehabilitaition for patients.
