Our Mission The mission of Texas Health Springwood Center Arlington is to improve the mental health of the women in the communities we serve.
The Springwood Center at Texas Health Arlington Memorial offers an intensive outpatient program for women. Patients can be referred to the center by a physician, therapist, EAP counselor, or through self-referral.
Our Program The center offers a program geared to address the treatment of depression in women, including: postpartum depression, loss of a child (including miscarriage) and hormone-related depression. A counselor will work with the patient, the patient's family members and the patient's referral source, such as physician and/or therapist, to achieve individualized treatment goals. This program is approximately three hours a day and has been designed to balance treatment requirements with work, education and home-life schedules.
The program consists of:
- Cognitive behavioral group therapy
- Patient and family education
- Educational groups on women's issues
- Treatment and discharge plans coordinated with referring clinicians and physicians
The Springwood Center offers two separate intensive outpatient sessions:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, or
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The center is located in the Vandergriff Building: 1001 N. Waldrop Drive, Suite 400, Arlington, TX 76012.
