Texas Health Chief Nurse Executive Selected for Fellowship in American Academy of Nursing 07/30/2009 ARLINGTON, Texas - Texas Health Resources, the largest health care system in North Texas, today announced that Joan Shinkus Clark, M.S.N., R.N., N.E.A.-B.C., C.E.N.P., senior vice president and chief nurse executive, has been selected for Fellowship in the American Academy of Nursing. The selection is an important acknowledgement of Clark's outstanding contributions and achievements in nursing. 'Joan continues to gain esteem and recognition in her profession,' said Barclay Berdan, senior executive vice president of system alignment and performance for Texas Health. 'We are proud of all she has accomplished and will accomplish as she continues her leadership journey at Texas Health Resources.' Selection for Fellowship required an extensive application process. Criteria for admission included demonstrating evidence of outstanding contributions to the improvement of nursing at the national or international level, and evidence of potential to continue contributions to nursing and the Academy. Clark will officially become a Fellow and be able to use the FAAN credentials after attending the induction ceremony on Nov. 7 in Atlanta. About Texas Health Resources |
