Harris Methodist Erath County to Hold Book Fair on Oct. 21 10/15/2008 STEPHENVILLE, Texas — It’s only October, but it’s never too early to start thinking of Christmas shopping. The Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital Auxiliary is hosting a “Books are Fun” book fair on Tuesday, Oct. 21. The event will be held from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Belknap lobby of Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital. A range of materials — from children’s books to publications for adults — will be available. “Books can transport children and even adults to new worlds and help them learn about different cultures or try new things,” said Mike Hannah, director of pastoral care at Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital. “What better way is there to get some Christmas shopping done early while supporting the hardworking volunteers and members of the Auxiliary at Harris Methodist Erath County Hospital?” A percentage of the proceeds from the book fair will be given to the Auxiliary to fund ongoing projects. The Auxiliary raises money to complete projects such as waiting room renovations and other improvement efforts for the hospital.
