The mission of Texas Health Harris Methodist Foundation is to help meet the health care needs of communities served by Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospitals. The foundation funds programs and provides volunteer support that will provide essential services to residents, and especially to those who do not have adequate access to health care.

- Asks support for specific program components, rather than operating overhead or capital building projects.
- Focuses on screening, prevention and early detection.
- Provides volunteer opportunities.
- Asks "start-up" support for newly identified community needs.
- Includes budget information regarding funding received from state or local governments.
- All grant awards are for one year only. Application for additional grant funds must not be submitted less than 12 months after receiving prior grant approval.
