Sheila A. McKinney has served as president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen since August 1999. She joined Texas Health Resources in October 1997 as vice president of ambulatory and diagnostic services for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.

Prior to joining Texas Health, McKinney held several senior level administrative positions within the Carilion Health System in Roanoke, Va. She was the chief executive officer of a 60-bed hospital in Big Stone Gap, Va., the interim CEO for a 100-bed facility in Wytheville, Va., and vice president for a 600-bed teaching hospital in Roanoke.

McKinney earned a bachelor's degree in health science from the University of Kentucky and a master's degree in hospital and health administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

In 2007, Inside Collin County Business recognized her as one of the 2007 "21 Leaders for the 21st Century."

She also serves on the board of directors for Hope's Door and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
