Patient Satisfaction Survey | Patient Satisfaction Scores
Patient Satisfaction Survey Texas Health Resources and its family of hospitals strive to be the health care system of choice for patients, employees, physicians and insurers.
One of Texas Health's core values is to seek excellence by striving to fulfill the mission of improving the health of people in its communities. Patient satisfaction monitoring is one means for achieving that goal. We are proud that one in five North Texans entrusts us with their care.
In January 2008, Texas Health chose Press Ganey Associates to administer patient satisfaction surveys. Press Ganey is used by more than 7,000 health care facilities in the United States. Texas Health uses its survey results to guide efforts to improve performance and patient care.
There are multiple versions of the Texas Health patient satisfaction survey. All of them are tailored to the specific service line for which it measures. They are:
- Ambulatory Surgery
- Emergency Department
- Inpatient
- Outpatient Services
- Behavioral Health (inpatient and outpatient)
A random cross-section of patients from each hospital is selected and mailed a survey, typically within a week of their service or discharge date. Patients are asked to rate all aspects of care and, if desired, provide comments about their experience.
Survey data is tabulated and reported to Texas Health and entity trustees, leadership, employees, and physicians. Meeting our patient satisfaction goals is one of the metrics used to measure overall progress and success, and is an incentive for each of the more than 18,000 Texas Health employees.
For more information about our patient satisfaction monitoring process, please call the Department of Service Excellence at 682-236-6108.
Because Texas Health is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization and an asset of the communities it serves, we are proud to publicly post our patient satisfaction scores. We are also committed to continuously striving to perform better, so that you will want our hospitals to become your health care system of choice.
