2009 HeartBeat 5K and Healthy Heart FairTexas Health Presbyterian Foundation hosts a variety of events each year. From fundraising events — like the Greer Garson Gala and HeartBeat 5K — to donor recognition events, there are many ways you can get involved.

HeartBeat 5K and Healthy Heart Fair

The annual HeartBeat 5K Race & Healthy Heart Fair is hosted by Texas Health Presbyterian Foundation and one of its signature volunteer organizations, the PHorum. Proceeds from the race benefit the Vickery Meadow neighborhood education and outreach programs of the nationally recognized Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas Community Outreach Department.

2009 Greer Garson Gala

WHAT: Emulating the style that embodied the late Academy Award-winning actress and long-time Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas supporter, Greer Garson, Texas Health Presbyterian Foundation will host its annual fundraising Gala named in her honor with elegance, distinction and a great philanthropic cause-to support Parkinson's disease research and programs and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Texas Health Dallas.

In 2008, the signature fundraising Gala netted more than $280,000, approximately 110 percent of the initial fundraising goal of $250,000. The event set a new fundraising record for the cause in the Gala's nearly 20-year history.

WHEN: The 2009 Greer Garson Gala, a seated dinner for 800, is set for Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel and is anticipated to raise approximately $250,000. Co-chairs are Kara and Austin Adam and Jeannie and Nathan Denton.
