Asthma

Asthma is a chronic, lifelong disease that affects health and well-being. It prevents individuals from enjoying activities such as sports, exercise, shopping and even sleeping.

That's why the Asthma Management Program at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas is designed specifically to help affected individuals gain the knowledge and skills needed to help manage asthma symptoms.

The Asthma Management Program is staffed by registered respiratory therapists who are dedicated to helping patients with respiratory conditions. Since its inception in 1997, program officials have regularly participated in community screenings, actively represented it at area health fairs, and worked closely with schools to help educate teachers and other school staff members about asthma, all in an effort to help individuals manage this prevalent disease.

The Asthma Management Program is on the fifth floor of the main hospital building. Appointments can be scheduled through your physician's office at 214-345-6541.

The office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend appointments can be made. For more information, call 214-345-6541.
