Honors, Awards and Recognition

• In November 2007, Texas Health Plano received the Magnet designation for excellence in nursing, the nation's highest honor for nursing excellence, from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
• 257 physicians with active privileges on the medical staffs at Texas  Health Hospitals of Allen, Dallas and Plano were recognized on the 2007 D magazine "Best Doctors" list.
• In April 2007, the Texas Nurses Association named three Texas Health Plano nurses to its annual list of "Great 100 Nurses."
• Texas Health Plano was selected as Best Hospital, Best Emergency Room and Best Pharmacy in the Plano Star Courier  2006 readership survey.
• Physicians on the medical staff at Texas Health Plano received recognition from their peers as "best doctors" in D magazine in 2006.
• Texas Health Plano received accreditation of Clinical Lab by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
• Texas Health Resources was named "Best Baby Talk" by D magazine in August 2005, in recognition of baby sign language classes offered at Texas Health Hospitals of Allen, Dallas and Plano.
• The Assisted Reproductive Technology Services (ARTS) program offered by Texas Health through its hospitals in Dallas and Plano, has been named one of the "10 Best Fertility Centers" in the United States, as researched by Child magazine in its August 2005 issue.
• Curative Health Services selected the Wound Care Center as one of the Top 5 Wound Care Centers for performance in the country for 2004. 
• Patty Hamilton, R.N., was named to the Great 100 Nurses list sponsored by Districts 3 and 4 of the Texas Nurses Association and the Dallas-Fort Worth Nurse Executives.
