Child Care Center

Seay Child Care CenterThe Seay Child Care Center is owned and operated by Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano and is located on the campus. The center is licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and meets or exceeds standards and guidelines set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

Teacher-to-child ratios at the Seay Child Care Center exceed licensing standards. We provide lower teacher/child ratios in the classrooms, which has a positive effect on the quality of care and learning.

Enrollment
Texas Health Plano employees have first priority for enrollment. The center currently has a waiting list for all age groups. There is no fee to add your child to the waiting list.

Parents will be given the opportunity to enroll, as spaces become available according to priority and date of application. The waiting list guarantees the "right of first refusal" for a space when it becomes available, and the space is then offered to the next waiting list parent. When a space is offered to a waiting list family, the family must begin using the space within two weeks.

If parents wish to reserve the space for an additional reasonable amount of time, they may opt to begin paying for it prior to attending in order to obtain the space. Once on the waiting list, your position will remain by date of application, even if your child's age changes to the next age group, so you will not regress in position or start over in the next age group.

Mission Statement
"To create a nurturing and safe learning environment through faith, respect, and love, for children, families and peers." The Seay Child Care Center also supports the mission of Texas Health Plano: "To improve the health of the people in the communities we serve."

Philosophy
The Seay Child Care Center is committed to providing an appropriate atmosphere where children of all races and creeds experience joy, love, kindness, peace and wonderment at the world around them. We respect the children as unique individuals with the right to learn in an environment of positive reinforcement.

We commit ourselves to developing the whole child: socially, emotionally, mentally, academically and physically. Staff seek to provide opportunities for the children to grow in each of these areas according to his or her individual abilities and needs. Children are encouraged to explore their environment, think creatively and make their own decisions. Teachers guide and enhance this process through learning materials and activities.
