Imaging

Welcome
The Imaging Department at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano offers an array of diagnostic imaging services, all in a convenient and comfortable environment.

Imaging is an important tool that physicians on the medical staff may utilize in diagnosing and developing treatment options for their patients. Various modalities and approaches can be used to acquire images. These include X-rays, mammograms, computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams, ultrasonography and nuclear medicine.

The entire Imaging Department functions in a "filmless" environment with a Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) that allows secure access for electronic sharing of high resolution images. These and other imaging advances contribute to the mission of Texas Health Plano which is  to improve the health of people in the communities we serve.

Physicians on the medical staff, with the assistance of employees, provide imaging services for inpatients, outpatients and those needing emergency care. In addition, the department is accredited by the American College of Radiology and the Texas Department of Health Services. Radiologists on the medical staff are board certified and technologists are certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
