The Chemical Dependency Program at the Seay Behavioral Health Center at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is designed for the treatment of alcohol and drug abuse during adolescence. This program addresses the disabling effect of substance abuse, offers the opportunity to engage in a recovery process and teaches healthy lifestyle skills.
Treatment is available at three levels:
- Inpatient Crisis Stabilization is offered seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Patients are admitted for crisis stabilization usually when they are considered a danger to themselves or others, psychosis, or medical detoxification from drugs and/or alcohol. Patients can be seen by a psychiatrist seven days a week.

Each patient will be expected to attend 12-step recovery meetings in their home community.
- Intensive Outpatient Program is offered from 4 to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
