Patsy Youngs

Patsy Youngs, President
Patsy Youngs became interim president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Winnsboro in January 2009. She continues to be the president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman.

Youngs began her career with Texas Health Resources in 2006.  She was previously employed by Hunt Memorial Hospital District (HMHD), where she served as administrator of Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce and chief operating officer of HMHD.

Youngs began her career in health care more than 30 years ago as a registered nurse and has served in a number of clinical and operational leadership positions. She worked in management positions at Columbia Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas, St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, La., and Mercy Hospital in New Orleans.

Youngs earned a diploma in nursing from Touro Infirmary School of Nursing in New Orleans, a bachelor's degree in health sciences from Holy Cross College, also in New Orleans, and a master's degree in business administration from Florida Institute of Technology's New Orleans campus.

Youngs has been an active member of the community participating in a number of organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club. She is also an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Renae Thomas, Chief Financial Officer
Thomas joined Texas Health Winnsboro in June 2007 as the hospital's chief financial officer. Prior to joining PHW, she spent six years as the controller at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Before that, she spent three years at CHRISTUS St. Joseph's Health System in Paris, Texas. 

She is a member of the Texas Association for Healthcare Financial Administration (TAHFA) and serves on the organization's board of directors. She is also the chair of TAHFA's Education Committee and a member of the HFMA Lone Star Chapter.

A native Texan, Thomas earned her bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin University and a master's in business administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce. Thomas is a member of the Pilot Club of Sulphur Springs and serves on their board as the fundraising chairman.
