Staff

The majority of teachers have earned a Child Development Associate certification (CDA) and/or degree in Early Childhood Education.Qualifications
Staff members at the Seay Child Care Center are committed to excellence. They are experienced, trained and dedicated to promoting a safe and nurturing environment filled with learning and fun. Teacher qualifications meet or exceed Texas licensing standards. The majority of teachers have earned a Child Development Associate certification (CDA) and/or degree in Early Childhood Education.

All staff members receive annual Tuberculosis (TB) tests and are certified in First Aid and CPR. Staff members are also required to attend a minimum of 15 in-service clock hours per year in early childhood education.

Amy Lawson, Director
Lawson is the director of the Seay Child Care Center. She has a bachelor's degree and 19 years experience in early childhood education and 11 years in child care center administration. Lawson has been at the center since 2004.

Coordinators
A coordinator supervises each area of the center and is readily available to the children, parents and staff in her particular area. She is also able to provide guidance, support, resources and assistance as needed.

Francine Lane, Infant Coordinator
Lane is the infant coordinator for classrooms 1, 2, 3 and 4. She has a Child Development Associate certification and has been at the center since 1993.

Angie McClusky, Toddler Coordinator
McClusky is the toddler coordinator for classrooms 5, 6, 7, 8 and 10. She has a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a master's degree in counseling. McClusky has been at the center since 1998.

Dawn Dumar, Early Childhood Specialist
Dumar is the early childhood specialist for the center. She supports the classrooms with curriculum guidance, resources and educational materials. Dumar has a Child Development Associate certification and is also a certified CPR/First-Aid trainer for center staff. She has been at the center since its opening in 1991.

Martha Casper, Program Coordinator
Casper is the program coordinator for the center's office area. She handles enrollment, children's records and tuition billing. Casper has been at the center since 1999.

Jennifer Walters, Coughs and Cuddles Coordinator
Walters is the coordinator for Coughs and Cuddles, a program for mildly-ill children. She has a Child Development Associate certification and is a certified CPR/First-Aid trainer for the center staff. Walters has been at the center since 1994.

Deborah Diehl, HR Administrative Director
Diehl provides hospital administrative oversight and support for the Seay Child Care Center and for Coughs and Cuddles. She has been with Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano since 1992.
