The breast cancer risk assessment service at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas was featured on KXAS-TV (Channel 5) this week. Daphne McDonald, WHNP, BC, director of the PHD assessment service, spoke with reporter Meredith Land about this one-of-a-kind program, which identifies those at high-risk for breast cancer and assembles a team of specialists, including oncologists, breast surgeons and radiologists, to ensure each woman has the tools at her disposal to reduce her risk of breast cancer and catch it at the earliest possible moment if it were to develop.
