Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford offers a Senior Healthcare Center to address the needs of older adults. Staffed by a full-time, on-staff internist, the center offers in-depth health assessments, wellness screenings and general surgery in all areas.
Most services are provided on an outpatient basis, and are covered by Medicare. The center can also provide help in finding a specialist.
Available services include:
- Chronic disease management, medication counseling, flu shots, pneumococcal shots, and physical, occupational and speech therapy
- Transportation and social services
- Pharmaceutical and respiratory (smoking) consultation
- Educational programs addressing nutrition, asthma and diabetes
- Continuity of care rehabilitation programs, home health, hospice and family member involvement
