Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen Imaging Department Staff
|
Welcome The Department of Radiology and Imaging at Texas Health Allen offers an array of diagnostic and interventional radiology services, all in a convenient and comfortable environment.
Radiology is an important tool that physicians on the medical staff may utilize in diagnosing and developing treatment options for their patients. Various modalities and approaches can be used to acquire images, then view and evaluate areas of the body including X-rays, mammograms, computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams, ultrasonography, nuclear medicine and interventional radiology.
Interventional procedures performed by physician on the medical staff at Texas Health Allen's Interventional Radiology Suite offer alternatives to open surgery for cardiac and other patients. The entire imaging department functions in a "filmless" environment with the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) that allows secure access for electronic sharing of high resolution images.
These and other imaging advances contribute to the mission of Texas Health Allen, which is improving the health of people the communities as serve.
Physicians on the medical staff, with the assistance of employees, provide imaging services for inpatients, outpatients and those needing emergency care. In addition, the department is accredited by the American College of Radiology and the Texas Department of Health Services.
