Community Engagement

Community Affairs

Texas Health Gives: It's what we do every day by caring for our patients, for each other and for more than six million residents in North Texas.

Texas Health Resources develops and maintains key business and community relationships through community benefit grants, sponsorships and memberships to non-profit organization in our service area.

Another key element of our commitment to the communities we serve is our employee volunteer program. Texas Health offers each of our full- and part-time employees the opportunity to volunteer, using paid time off for up to one work day per year at qualified non-profit organizations.

Our employees not only give with their hands by volunteering, they also give with their hearts and contribute financially to multiple heartfelt causes through Texas Health's Community Employee Giving Campaign.

Each fall Texas Health employees show their support of the community by participating in the Community Employee Giving campaign, which supports strategic non-profit partners — American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, March of Dimes and United Way.

In the past six years, Texas Health employees have raised nearly $7 million. Texas Health also conducts an annual food drive to support the North Texas Food Bank, Tarrant Area Food Bank and local pantries. In 2011, Texas Health employees donated $189,762 to area food banks, which will provide 569,287 meals to needy families.
