Enterstomal Care

The goal of the Enterstomal Therapy (ET) Nursing Department at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is to provide quality wound, ostomy and continence specialty nursing services. The mission of the ET department is to provide comprehensive health management to patients while promoting autonomy and optimal quality of life.

The ET department has been established as a service to meet inpatient and outpatient requirements related to ostomy, wound or continence needs. Patients receiving services experience a variety of contributing medical conditions including, but not limited to, inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, trauma, dementia, vascular disease and diabetes.

Inpatient support services are available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. On-call services are available after hours and on weekends. Outpatient service hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
