Along with general radiography (X-ray), some of today's more sophisticated imaging techniques are available at the hospitals of Texas Health Resources, including tomography, fluoroscopy, CT (computed tomography) scanning, MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) and nuclear medicine studies.
The easy-view MRI system at the hospital offers advanced diagnostic efficiency and accuracy and a patient-friendly, comfortable experience.
Imaging departments function in a "filmless" environment. Most images are captured digitally and stored on the department's Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
This allows radiologists on the medical staff to review results on high-resolution computer monitors and also gives most off-site physicians rapid remote access to test results for consultation when needed.
