Roadmap to Recovery
Texas Health Southwest offers Ortho and Total Joint Replacement Camp, a class designed to assist you with your recovery from back surgery, total hip replacement or knee replacement. The class provides information on the following topics:
- Pre-operative services
- Walking with an assistive device
- Home safety
- Adaptive equipment
- Discharge planning
- Nursing care
Classes are held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month in the Community Education Building, located just behind the hospital. Parking is free in the lot in front of the Education Building at 6270 John Ryan Drive.
