Images in Radiology Services are captured, transmitted and stored in the hospital's Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS). This advanced electronic diagnostic imaging system allows physicians to remotely access and review images online within five minutes after they are taken. The system can enable quicker turnaround on imaging reports and potentially more efficient care.
The only images that will require a processor will be mammography, and they will be stored in film form. |
