Volunteer Program Volunteers at Texas Health Allen are dedicated men and women, teens through seniors, from all kinds of backgrounds who share a common desire to help others. Volunteers typically sign up for one four-hour shift each week and agree to an initial six-month commitment.
There are many benefits to becoming a volunteer. In addition to helping others, volunteers have the opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills, gain new insights and achieve a sense of accomplishment.
A complimentary meal is also provided to volunteers while working at the hospital and volunteer achievements are recognized twice a year with an awards dinner or luncheon.
High School Student Volunteer Summer Program Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2013 High School Student program. For the 2014 session, students will be able to apply online from Feb. 1 to March 1.
