As a volunteer at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital
Allen you become part of a team of caring professionals, all
of whom share a passion and commitment for helping both patients
and their families. These volunteers are also committed to the
mission of Texas Health Allen: helping to improve the health of
the people in the communities it serves.
Volunteers at Texas Health Allen
are dedicated men and women, teens through seniors, from all
kinds of backgrounds who share a common desire to help others.
Volunteers typically sign up for one four-hour shift each week
and agree to an initial six-month commitment.
There are many benefits to
becoming a volunteer. In addition to helping others, volunteers
have the opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills, gain
new insights and achieve a sense of accomplishment.
A complimentary meal is also
provided to volunteers while working at the hospital and
volunteer achievements are recognized twice a year with an awards
dinner or luncheon.
