Mike Macko, Manager

Macko, D.P.T., O.C.S., M.T.C., graduated from Texas Christian University with a bachelor's degree in movement science and subsequently earned a master's degree in physical therapy in 1996. He returned to the University of St. Augustine to complete his doctorate of physical therapy and certification in manual therapy. Macko became a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2003. Prior to joining the Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute, he gained experience in outpatient orthopedics and acute care in Florida and at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. Macko is a member of the Sports Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and is a credentialed clinical instructor.

Robert A. Knight, Senior Physical Therapist

Knight, P.T., D.P.T., M.S.P.T, earned a master's degree in physical therapy and a doctorate of physical therapy from Arcadia University in Philadelphia. He most recently completed four years of extensive training in advanced Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy for soft tissue and joint manipulations through the University of St. Augustine in Florida. Knight's continued clinical training has been directed not only in the area of advanced OMPT, but also in the diagnosis and treatment of movement dysfunction and impairments on the neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems. He has advanced training in Medical Exercise Therapy that emphasizes specific target tissue training at proper doses to maximize recovery from injury. Knight is a member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. Prior to relocating to Fort Worth, Knight worked with the Dallas Sidekicks indoor professional soccer team and many elite runners.

Hal Welch, Senior Physical Therapist

Welch, P.T., M.S., C.S.C.S., received his degree in biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989, and a second degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1991. He received a master's degree in sports and exercise sciences with thesis from West Texas A&M University. During his time as a therapist, Welch has supplemented his skills by becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA) in 1995, as well as achieving licensure as an expert coach from the United States Cycling Federation (USA Cycling) in 1997. His experience is in outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy, with a special interest in the foot and ankle and lower extremity biomechanics.

Kevin Auten, Physical Therapist

Auten, M.P.T., received a master's degree in physical therapy at the Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 2004. His undergraduate work began on a soccer scholarship at Coastal Carolina University and was completed at the University of Oklahoma. While in physical therapy school, he completed an internship at the Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute. Auten is a member of the Sports Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Ryan Blankenship, Physical Therapist

Blankenship, M.P.T., received his bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science from Abilene Christian University in December 2001. In May 2004, he received his master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Before joining the Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute, Blankenship served as head of a Back to Golf program for an orthopedic out patient clinic. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Sports Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Kiley Cohen, Physical Therapist

Cohen, M.P.T., C.S.C.S., received her master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Before joining the Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute, she gained experience in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine at privately-owned clinics in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Cohen is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also a member of the Orthopedic and Sports Sections of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Amy Goodson, Dietitian

Goodson, M.S., R.D., L.D., is the sports dietitian for Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute. She received her bachelor's degree in speech communications from Texas Christian University in 2003 and earned a master's in exercise and sports nutrition in 2006. She also obtainined her registration and license to become a registered dietitian. Goodson gained experience through her internship, where she received clinical experience, and spent time working in sports nutrition with the dietitian of the Houston Texans. She then became a dietitian for Lifetime Fitness. As a member of the Ben Hogan Sports Therapy Institute team, she works with high school athletes, speaks to community groups and booster clubs, and serves as the dietitian for TCU athletics. Goodson is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Texas Dietetic Association, and SCAN (Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionists).

Patti Grant, Physical Therapist

Grant, P.T., C.S.C.S., received her degree in physical therapy from the University of Oklahoma in 1997. Before joining Ben Hogan she gained her outpatient orthopedic experience in several clinics in Oklahoma and Texas. She furthered her knowledge by becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2005. She is a member of the Sports Section of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Chuck McCandless, Athletic Trainer

McCandless has a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Oklahoma State Univeristy. Before joining the Ben Hogan staff, McCandless served as the head athletic trainer for Burkburnett High School.

Sarah Noll, Physical Therapist

Noll, M.P.T., A.T.C., L.A.T., received a bachelor's degree in exercise and sports science in 2004 and a master's degree in physical therapy in 2006 from Texas State University. As part of her undergraduate degree from Texas State, she completed the athletic training program and received her state license and national certification as an athletic trainer. She is a member of the National Athletic Training Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.

Marty Stajduhar, Physical Therapist

Stajduhar, M.S., P.T., graduated from the physical therapy program at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center-Dallas in 1986. He received a master's degree from Arizona State University in 1981 and a bachelor's degree from LaVerne College in 1973. Before joining Ben Hogan, Stajduhar worked as a conditioning coach and physical therapist for the Texas Rangers. He workes coordinate and treat players year round. Prior to being a physical therpaist, Stajduhar coached baseball at the NCAA Division I, NAIA, and high school levels.

Jeff Zimmerman, Therapy Tech

Zimmerman, L.A.T., received a bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2006 and became licensed as an athletic trainer. Zimmerman is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and the Southwest Athletic Trainer's Association.

Administrative

Brian Conway, Director

Conway, A.T.C, L.A.T., is one of the Ben Hogan Institute's original staff members. He has been an athletic trainer since graduating from Texas Christian University in 1984. Conway worked as a trainer for nine years at the secondary school level, 10 at the collegiate level and one year professionally. He is a licensed athletic trainer in Texas and a certified athletic trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Association. Conway is an active member of the Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association.

Miller, who works as an administrative assistant at the Ben Hogan Institute, has been an employee of Texas Health since 1995. 

Tammy Rone, Front Office

Rone serves as the team lead admissions specialist. She has been an employee of Texas Health for eight years. 

Connie Smith, Front Office

Smith, C.H.A.A., works in the Patient Access department as an admissions and scheduling specialist. She has been an employee of Texas Health since 1989.
