Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville Invites Residents to Enter Sweepstakes|
STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Texas Health Resources is encouraging individuals across North Texas to learn about heart health and play the love game this Valentine’s Day for a chance to win a year of free groceries and other prizes.
Texas Health has created a website, TexasHealth.org/Heart, to serve as a comprehensive resource for those who have heart disease and those who are interested in preventing it.
Through Feb. 18, individuals may log onto the website and send an electronic note to a loved one or share a story about someone or something they love. By sending an electronic note, posting a story or requesting a healthy heart kit, individuals are entered into the Love Game Sweepstakes. The grand prize is a year of free groceries. Other prizes include iPads and Wii Fits.
“The Love Game Sweepstakes is a fun way to learn more about hearth health and share an electronic note with your family or a Valentine,” said Christopher Leu, president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville. “Heart disease is a serious condition that affects too many people in Erath County and the surrounding areas, but we’re hoping to raise awareness of the risk factors for heart disease with this new website.”
The heart site offers information about prevention of and treatments for heart disease, as well as tools to cook healthy recipes, how to improve your lifestyle and how to find a doctor. You can request a Healthy Heart Kit, schedule an appointment with a physician or schedule a screening.
A blog on the site also offers stories of individuals fighting heart disease and tips for staying healthy.
