Entertainment Selected for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman Black Tie Ball

KAUFMAN, Texas — Entertainment for this year’s annual Black Tie Ball benefitting Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Kaufman will be provided by ZERO260, a Dallas-based band known for its musicianship and choreography.

The band will headline the Nov. 12 Black Tie Ball at the Belo Mansion in Dallas. Proceeds from this year’s annual gala, which will include a dinner and auction, will help support women’s and children’s services in Kaufman County.

“We think ZERO260 will be a band everyone can enjoy,” said Kaufman businesswoman Wendy Thomas, who is the chairwoman of the planning committee for the 2011 gala. “It will be a nice mix of music for all ages. They have a great energy that will definitely get people dancing.”

ZERO260 performs for corporate and private events not only in Texas, but across the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean. The band includes a horn section, allowing the group to tackle all types of popular and classic music, blending classics with today’s top hits.

Last year’s Black Tie Ball attracted more than 300 partygoers and featured a seated dinner, diamond raffle, live auction and dancing, raising more than $57,000. The event has raised more than $120,000 over three years to support women’s and children’s services in Kaufman County.

“Having so much success only drives us to improve and make this year’s event even more fun and enjoyable for everyone,” said Patsy Youngs, president of Texas Health Kaufman. “The past few years are a hard act to follow, but we plan to more than meet those expectations.”

Proceeds help support prenatal care for low-income and uninsured women in the local area. The goal is to help women have healthy pregnancies and diagnose complications before they cause serious problems for their babies.
