Texas Health Resources to Open Medical Office in Celina|
CELINA, Texas — Texas Health Resources is poised to become the first health care provider to open a medical office in Celina, bringing needed medical care close to home for residents of Celina and surrounding communities.
Eager to establish its presence in the community, Texas Health is proud to be a title sponsor of the 6th annual Celina Balloon Festival and Family Fun Day on Nov. 4 and 5 at Old Celina Park. Texas Health Physicians Group will have a booth where individuals can win prizes and take a risk assessment for heart disease.
Texas Health will open an office in spring 2012 at 1050 Preston Road, Suite 109, in the new Celina Town Center. The clinic is slated to provide primary care and lab services and space for medical specialists to see patients. It will be operated by Texas Health Physicians Group. Texas Health Physicians Group (THPG) is a network of more than 650 primary and specialty care physicians and mid-level providers providing the north Texas area community access to quality health care delivered either through an office setting or through a hospitalist program.
“We are excited to be entering the Celina community,” said Steve Hanson, senior executive vice president at Texas Health. “It is crucial for a community to have ready access to health care services, and Texas Health is thrilled to be meeting that need in Celina.”
Texas Health operates a variety of health care services and hospitals across North Texas and is the largest health care provider in North Texas in terms of patients served.
“Texas Health Physician Group continues to expand into new specialties and move into new communities that are in need of health care services,” said Michael Stoltz, M.D., president of the Texas Health Resources Organization for Physicians. “We look forward to fulfilling our mission in the community of Celina — improving the health of the people in the communities we serve.”
