Texas Health Fort Worth Announces Acquisition, Renaming of Clear Fork Surgery Center|
FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth has acquired Clear Fork Surgery Center, an outpatient center on the hospital’s campus that was previously a joint venture between Texas Health Fort Worth, Symbion Inc. based in Nashville, Tenn., and physicians.
The surgery center has been renamed Texas Health Outpatient Surgery Center Fort Worth and is conveniently located in the hospital’s Ben Hogan Professional Office Building. It is an extension of the hospital’s outpatient surgical services and will allow more space for emergency and inpatient surgeries in the hospital’s main operating rooms. The hospital performs approximately 10,000 inpatient surgeries per year.
“As a major trauma center, we care for many critical patients from Fort Worth and surrounding areas,” said Joseph DeLeon, vice president of professional services and business development at Texas Health Fort Worth. “We are pleased to expand our outpatient surgery capacity so that we can continue to provide necessary and convenient care to our patients and their physicians.”
In addition to general surgeries, procedures performed at Texas Health Outpatient Surgery Center Fort Worth include the areas of orthopedics, cosmetic and plastics, gynecology, hand, podiatry, ear, nose and throat, pain management, ophthalmology and urology.
