Texas Health Seay Behavioral Health Center Opens Location in Frisco|
PLANO, Texas — During the last two years more than 250 individuals have left Frisco to seek outpatient behavioral health treatments. No one wants to drive far for treatments when they are ill, but when it comes to behavioral health issues that drive can be an even bigger barrier to feeling better.
That’s why Texas Health Resources has opened the Texas Health Seay Behavioral Health Center Frisco.
Located at 5858 Main Street, #200, in Frisco, the center will offer free assessments and patients may be recommended to any Seay Behavioral Health level of care. The center is a satellite location of the Seay Behavioral Health Center, a behavioral health facility that offers inpatient and outpatient services on the campus of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano.
“We see a great need for behavioral health services and are excited to be opening in the Frisco community,” said Ross Teemant, LCSW, director of the Seay Behavioral Health Center. “Facing a behavioral health issue can be a scary time and we are pleased to offer assessments close to home. If you are concerned about yourself, or a loved one, we encourage you to visit our center to learn more about available resources.”
The center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for assessments. Patients can call or walk in to schedule an assessment. The therapy provided will focus primarily on psychiatric, women’s health, and chemical dependency intensive outpatient programs. There will be treatment options for adolescents and adults and the programs are offered with day and evening hours.
“Our mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve and having community based locations such as the Frisco center are just another way we are accomplishing that mission,” said Mike Evans, B.S.N., M.S.N., president of Texas Health Plano.
