ALLEN, Texas — Lynlie Kayte may be the second daughter of the Brokaw family, but she will always have a special “first” to brag about. She was the first baby born in 2013 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Allen.

Lynlie arrived on Jan. 2, 2013, and her Wylie family, including a beaming big sister, could not wait to meet her.

“With the planned c-section, we’ve known our daughter would be born on January 2 for about two months,” said mom Jamie. “It was really nice because it allowed us to plan our holidays and get ready for Lynlie’s arrival. Plus, her birthday will always be easy to remember: 1/2/13.”
