Groovy Race to Raise Funds for Texas Health Dallas|
DALLAS — Do you have the beat? We sure do!
Texas Health Presbyterian Foundation will host the 21st annual HeartBeat 5K fun run, walk and family fun event on March 23. This year, the race will include a music theme.
The 2013 HeartBeat 5K will begin on the campus of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas and feature a theme of “We’ve Got the Beat,” with 106.1 Kiss FM’s Michael Blake serving as emcee. The fundraising event will include a 5K run and a 1K family fun run with a host of post-race activities for the whole family.
Funds raised at this year’s race will go toward the hospital’s Heart and Vascular Service Clinician and Community Outreach Education.
“We are so excited about this year’s race and we hope to see a good showing of support from Texas Health employees since it will benefit our own Texas Health Dallas Heart and Vascular Service line,” said Vanida Vongdara, HeartBeat 5K event coordinator. “And the music theme should be fun for people of all ages.”
This is a great way to “Be Healthy” and be physically active. Register for the run today at TexasHealth.org/HB5K. For event sign-up questions, call Vanida Vongdara at 682-236-5236 or email VanidaVongdara@texashealth.org.
