Texas Health Plano Opens Newly Renovated Women’s Unit
04/03/2013

PLANO, Texas — Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is proud to open a newly renovated Women’s Unit.

The Women’s Unit will care for women recovering from gynecologic, urologic, plastic and breast surgeries, as well as other female health issues. The new unit is located on the fourth floor in building A and is the first unit of its kind in Collin County.

“In the past, women recovering from gynecologic or other women’s specific surgeries had no designated unit to recover in,” said Dawn Nichols, R.N., M.S.N., NEA-BC, clinical nurse manager for Post-Partum and Women's Services at Texas Health Plano. “Having a dedicated unit for women will make patients feel much more comfortable in their recovery, and we’ll be able to provide them with more specialized nursing care.
