These free health care programs provide childhood immunizations, mammography and prostate screenings, educational materials, and community outreach to men, women and children who would otherwise not receive these services.
This year’s Gala proceeds will also be used to purchase an advanced ultrasound system for Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Cleburne. The ultrasound will be used primarily for breast exams as part of the hospital’s focus on women’s well-being in Johnson County.
During the evening of dinner and dancing, attendees raised $50,000 during the live auction, with the big board and silent auction items raising more than $25,000. The popular Pick-a-Package boxes and Wine Pull bottles sold out.
Top sponsors for the evening included:
Black Diamond Sponsor
George and Margaret Marti
Three-Minute Challenge Sponsor
Liberty Hotel/Caddo Street Grill (thanks to this generous sponsorship the Three-Minute Challenge raised more than $28,000)
Valet Parking Sponsor
Kay and Sam Walls
The success of the Gala would not have been possible without all those who sponsored a table, donated to the Three-Minute Challenge, bid on an auction item or purchased a Pick-a-Package box or bottle of wine in support of Texas Health Cleburne and the Johnson County Community.
The Black & White Gala is hosted by the Black & White Gala committee and the Texas Health Resources Foundation.
