AMH Opens Child Care Facility to the Public 06/02/2005
ARLINGTON, Texas – High quality child care is hard to find. Now, there is another option available to North Arlington families. Arlington Memorial Hospital (AMH) is opening the doors of its child care facility, Children's Choice Learning Center (Children's Choice), to the public beginning Monday, June 6. Children's Choice is the national leader in quality, education-based child care, providing each child with an innovative, developmentally-appropriate curriculum focusing on literacy and character development. Children's Choice's approach to learning is guided by the latest brain research relating to how children learn and promotes a lifelong love for learning while teaching a respect for books, both classic and contemporary.
Children's Choice also emphasizes quality, caring teachers; low child/teacher ratios; fun play areas and bright, newly renovated classrooms. More than a day care, Children's Choice offers a nurturing environment and experience that meets the physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs of infants to preschoolers, six weeks to five years old. Unlike traditional child care, Children's Choice is open extended hours – from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday – to accommodate non-traditional work schedules. In addition, flexible two- to five-day schedules are available for most age groups.
Children's Choice began providing care for children of AMH employees last July. To celebrate the center's public opening, an open house will be held Saturday, June 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 903 Wright Street.
