Seminar Addresses Challenges in Emergency Nursing

FORT WORTH, Texas – The Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital Emergency Department will present "Update 2004: Current Challenges in Emergency Nursing" on January 30, 2004, from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the Robb Rutledge Education Center at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital.

A look into the world of emergency nursing, the seminar will address topics such as caring for psychiatric patients in the emergency department, five-level triage, neonatal resuscitation, diabetic emergencies, blood products in the emergency department, aromatherapy and much more. Participants also will have the opportunity to tour the Emergency Department at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital for a candid view of emergency nurses in action.

The seminar is tailored for nurses, nursing students, emergency medical technicians and paramedics. Continuing education units (CEUs) will be given.

To receive a discounted enrollment fee, register before the day of the event. Nursing students and Texas Health Resources employees receive discounted rates for registration.
