Presbyterian Hospital of Winnsboro Employees Raise More Than $7,600 For United Way 11/17/2008
WINNSBORO, Texas — Presbyterian Hospital of Winnsboro employees generously donated more than $7,600 to United Way, far
surpassing their campaign goal for the year.
Chief Nurse Executive Lisa Tarkington puts a pie in the face of Human
Resources Manager Brandy Royal, lucky winner of the United Way contest.
Among the events to raise money were a Pie-in-the-Face contest, a Christmas-themed silent auction and a guessing contest for
how many M&Ms were in a jar. The pie contest alone raised $170 for United Way.
In the pie contest, employees could put money into a jar to vote for the person who they wanted to receive a pie in the face.
Brandy Royal, human resources manager, was the lucky winner with the highest level of contributions, which won her the chance
to have a pie smashed in her face. Lisa Tarkington, R.N., chief nurse executive, did the honors of smashing the pie in
Royal’s face.
