Texas Health Fort Worth Hosts Free Women’s Health Event 05/21/2009
WHAT: Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth will host a free women’s health event right before summer begins to give women of all ages a chance to focus on themselves.
Attendees can speak directly to health care professionals about health issues and obtain information about breast and pelvic health and cardiovascular disease. A certified clinical aromatherapist practitioner will offer demonstrations on how to relieve symptoms such as migraine headaches and menstrual cramps through the use of essential oils.
Women will enjoy free refreshments, giveaways, and an array of health screenings, including:
Digital mammography (for the cost of a co-pay)
Vascular screenings (at a discounted rate)
Blood glucose and cholesterol
Bone density
Skin cancer
Car seat safety checks
Tours will also be given of the hospital’s newly renovated Labor and Delivery suites.
