“We are proud of Debbie for achieving this milestone in her career,” said Barclay Berdan, senior executive vice president of system alignment and performance for Texas Health Resources, Texas Health HEB’s parent organization. “Debbie has shown great leadership as she has successfully advanced initiatives at Texas Health HEB. Earning Fellow status shows her commitment to the profession and the community.”
To obtain Fellow status, candidates must fulfill multiple requirements, including passing a comprehensive examination, meeting academic and experiential criteria, earning continuing education credits and demonstrating professional/community involvement. Fellows are also committed to ongoing professional development and undergo recertification every three years. Fellow status is the highest level of professional achievement in ACHE.
“I am thrilled to have achieved this milestone but the real advantage is the relationships I have developed and the experience this process has taught me,” Paganelli said.
Paganelli has lead Texas Health HEB since June 2007. Previously she served as president of Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Stephenville.
During her time at Texas Health HEB, she oversaw the hospital’s quest to become designated a “Baby-Friendly hospital” by the World Health Organization, one of three hospitals in Texas with the honor. She also oversaw the hospital’s expansion of its mental health facility, Texas Health Springwood.
Paganelli earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Texas in Austin and her Master of Science degree in healthcare administration from Texas Woman's University. She is a diplomat with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Paganelli serves as a member of the HEB Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, the Board of Directors for the HEBISD Education Foundation and the Colleyville Area Chamber of Commerce.
