Texas Health Southwest Names New Risk Manager|
FORT WORTH, Texas — Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth administrators appointed Kristian Rainbow, R.N., B.S.N., as the new risk manager. Rainbow brings seven years of clinical nursing experience with a specialty in women’s services to the position.

In her new role, Rainbow will assist hospital staff with risk management issues to promote a safe environment for patients, families, employees, medical staff and volunteers. She will also serve as the hospital’s patient advocate.
Most recently, Rainbow was a staff nurse in Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital’s labor and delivery unit and neonatal intensive care unit. While there, she gained knowledge of crises management and provided recommendations to improve organizational processes for both units. She joined the staff in 2002 as a nurse tech.
Rainbow received her nursing degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2004. She is currently working toward a duel master’s degree in business administration and health systems management with an expected graduation date of May 2010.
She is involved in youth ministry at The Chosen Vessel Cathedral in Fort Worth and offers community education on women's health issues.
